2008
The Wichita Garden Show
is proud to host the
4-H Horticulture Judging Contest
and the
4-H Photography Extravaganza.
Both are competitions open
to 4-H youth across Kansas and neighboring states.
To better prepare 4-H'ers for state and national horticulture competitions, the 4-H Horticulture Judging Contest at the Wichita
Garden Show offers 4-H'ers an opportunity to practice
1) identification of leaves, fruit and nuts from over 50 plants and,
2) comparing plants, fruit and vegetables to identify traits of quality.
Thousands of plants and flowers in the gardens and exhibits
also provide an outstanding educational opportunity
for independent plant identification.
Below are the rules and information about the 4-H Horticulure Judging
Contest. Please see Show Events for rules about the 4-H Photography Contest.
