ELIGIBILITY
Open to all artists residing in Kansas. Flowers should be included in gardens, landscapes and still lifes. All artistic expressions welcome. Juror’s decisions are final.
SPECIFICATIONS
TWO DIMENSIONAL WORK ONLY
Oil, Acrylic, watercolor, drawings, pastel, collage, mixed media, fiber and original prints.
No computer generated art or reproductions allowed.
SIZE
40 inches and under, including frame, any direction. Strip framing
is acceptable. Frames must be fitted with screw eyes and wire,
ready to hang. UNI FRAMES AND SAW TOOTH HANGERS are not acceptable. Where glazing is required, plexiglas is recommended
and required if work is shipped. Attach ID labels to upper left
back of painting.
ENTRY FEE & PROCEDURE
A non-refundable entry fee of $15 FOR THE FIRST SLIDE;
$10 EACH ADDITIONAL SLIDE WITH no limit on entries.
Entries will be judged from 2”x2” color slides suitable for carousel projection.
Each slide must be marked with the artist’s name, title and medium with the top clearly marked.
SLIDES MUST SHOW ONLY THE IMAGE OF THE WORK
SUBMITTED. Poor quality slide will be rejected.
Checks should be made payable to: Wichita Garden Show. Be
sure to include a SASE #10 envelope for return of slides. Slides
not accepted will be returned immediately after jurying. Slides of
accepted work will be returned at the end of the exhibition.

SHIPMENT
For delivery of out-of-town art, please do not send return postage. Secure a CALL TICKET ACCOUNT AND LABEL FROM FED EX (BE
SURE TO ASK FOR GROUND PICK UP) or a RETURN SERVICE
ACCOUNT AND LABEL FROM UPS. You can set up an account by contacting FED EX or UPS locally or on line. When the art is
returned to you, your account will be billed for the postage.
This is a very easy way to receive returned art AND IT
REMOVES THE WORRY THAT ENOUGH POSTAGE HAS BEEN SENT.
Send your work in sturdy, reusable containers with sufficient packing. Please no packing peanuts or wooden crates.

HAND DELIVERY OF WORK
Sunday, March 2, 2008 between the hours of Noon and 3:00 PM.
Deliver art to the Connecting Lobby between buildings in Century II. Park in either west or east side delivery zone.
NO WORK CAN BE REMOVED until the close of the exhibition.
Work must be claimed by the artist or their agent between
the hours of 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM on Sunday, March 9, 2008.
Pick up artwork in front of stage in Convention Hall.
PUBLICITY AND SALES
The Wichita Garden Show Association reserves the right to
reproduce accepted entries for publicity purposes and will
encourage sales. No commission will be charged.
Art previously exhibited in “Visions of Flowers” is not eligible.
Accepted work which differs markedly from the slide will not be exhibited. There can be no substitutions. Al entrants will receive
a catalog of the show when art is picked up or mailed back.
LIABILITY AND AGREEMENT
Every reasonable care will be given to slides and art work
submitted to the Wichita Garden Show. However, art is
submitted at artist’s own risk. The sponsors of the Art Exhibition “Visions of Flowers” will not assume responsibility for loss or
damage incurred before, during or after the exhibition or
loss or damage due to fire or theft.
